The Lives of a Bengal Lancer, once thought to be among the most difficult to find DiscoVision titles, is a
classic case of showing that DiscoVision did, on occasion, know what it was doing. The black & white transfer is crisp
and sharp. At times the picture is overly bright, but this could be a result of the nitrate print which was used. In
any case, the quality of the print is on the poor side. There are missing frames noticeable throughout the picture,
especially at the reel divisions. The audio transfer is average, with the normal background hiss which is present on
most films from the "Classic Films" section of the DiscoVision catalog. Replication is above average, with very little
speckling and no dropouts present. Some masterings of sides 2 & 3 are know to have 20 Frame Skip.
The disc includes the standard black & white bumpers.
